Job Title: Chemical/ Process Engineer

Position Type: 6 Months Contract (Onsite)

Location: Lusby, MD

Salary Rate: $64/hr. on w2

This is a long term assignment, may extend beyond the current end date, and there is a possibility of conversion to permanent full-time employee.

Job Summary (Responsibilities and Requirements):

• Chemical engineering or petroleum engineering degree
• Broad understanding of Oil & Gas, refining, and petrochemical processes
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a process engineer in an Engineering company and/or Oil & gas Company, most of which on cryogenic units
• Mastering modeling tools such as PROII, Hysys, Unisim. Good knowledge of other specific modeling tools is a plus (e.g., HTRI, CFD tools)
• Familiar with process design of equipment, including vessels, columns, heat exchangers, compressors and pumps
• A conceptual understanding of chemical engineering principles of heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibria, mass transfer and thermodynamics, and their general application to process design
• Familiar with major regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, quality, or processes
• Relevant experience of originating and checking the deliverables/tasks
• Excellent knowledge of technical theory, engineering principles, good engineering practices and how to apply them
• Ability to manage complex studies performed in-house or by engineering contractors
