Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for testing and release of raw materials and finished products as per company's standard operating procedures and industry guidelines.
Assist in research & development and the continual improvement of products.
Keep apprised of developments in industry and chemical streams.
Accountable for ensuring that the analytical data generated for samples are accurate, precise and in compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
Prepare reagents, samples, and standards according to procedures.
Document testing, observations, deviations, OOS investigation and results clearly and completely.
Read and understand internal SOPs and analytical procedures.
Occasionally write standard operating procedures and analytical methods.
Assures that all laboratory functions are performed in a safe manner, following all relevant company and department safety rules and procedures. Assures that good housekeeping is maintained in the laboratory and other work places.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry
Preferred experience in Organic Chemistry
Work Environment
Primarily work in lab and office environment. Will be expected to spend time at blending facility and warehouse. Occasional extended hours and travel may be required.
Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test.
