Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and strategy of the organization. This individual manages the company’s cash management, investments, risk and compliance, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The CFO works closely with the other senior executives to guide the organization’s financial decisions and ensure its long–term financial stability and growth
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s goals and objectives
• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and financial models
• Analyze financial data and market trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management
• Manage the organization’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with local and national financial regulations and standards
• Monitor financial performance and make adjustment as needed to achieve financial targets
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management and stakeholders
• Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard the organization’s assets
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Collaborate with senior executives in strategic planning and decision–making process
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, promoting professional growth and development
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the finance and accounting departments.
• Lead merger and acquisition on behalf of the company
• Analyze potential deals with financial incentives to protect the company’s best interest
• Work with external auditors for the timely completion of audits and with tax advisors on timely submission of tax returns and proper tax planning
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred
• Proven experience as a CFO or similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong financial acumen with deep understanding of financial planning, analysis and reporting
• Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues and tax planning
• Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast – paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations preferred
