About The Role

As the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Finfare, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological vision, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring our IT and digital systems align with our business objectives. You will lead a talented team of IT professionals, driving innovation, efficiency, and security across all our technological operations.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Skills:
    • IT infrastructure and architecture: Deep knowledge of designing, implementing, and managing scalable IT infrastructures, networks, and systems.
    • Emerging technologies: Familiarity with cutting-edge technologies relevant to fintech, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and cloud computing.
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the company's technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
    • Drive innovation by identifying new technologies that could enhance our competitive edge and operational efficiency.
    • Lead digital transformation initiatives to optimize internal processes and customer experience.
  • Team Management:
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Information Security and Risk Management:
    • Establish and enforce security policies and procedures to protect the company’s digital assets and customer data.
    • Monitor and mitigate IT-related risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  • Infrastructure and Operations:
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, networks, and systems.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of all IT systems to support business growth.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
    • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality delivery of IT services and solutions.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., executives, departments) to understand their IT needs and priorities.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management:
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, making strategic investments to support business objectives while optimizing costs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Requirements

  • Proven experience (8-10+ years) as a CIO, CTO, or similar leadership role in a fintech or financial services organization.
  • Strong understanding of fintech trends, regulations, and technologies for our flagship business charge card product, expense management system, and our white label loyalty program.
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation projects and IT strategy development, preferably for new GTM product lines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience from fintech is highly preferred.
  • Previous start-up experience is highly preferred.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $300k - $350k+ (depending on experience).
