Chief Technology Officer

We’re in search of an experienced engineer who has successfully architected complex systems for a pioneering platform backed by early investors of AngelList, Docker, Front, HelloSign, Instacart, DraftKings, Pillpack and Checkr, and many more iconic companies.

This role is is a combination of hands-on, coding, technical design, and opportunities for mentorship and leadership. Depending on your seniority, we offer equity, potentially at a cofounder level.

You’ll take charge of the technical strategy and design, making key decisions, and driving team-wide productivity. You’ll work closely with our CEO and rest of engineering leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Expertise: We need someone with exceptional technical skills—someone who stands out as the best engineer or the smartest person others have worked with.
• Strategic Thinking: You should excel at recognizing patterns and be able to anticipate multiple steps ahead when making decisions.
• Startup Background: Experience in early-stage startups is a strong plus.
• Leadership Magnet: You should have the ability to attract top talent and inspire others to follow you.
• Hands-On Focus: You should be eager to spend the majority of your time coding and building for the foreseeable future.
• Prioritizing Speed: We value speed in execution, even if it occasionally means building the wrong thing, as long as we learn quickly.

Required Skills:

• A Staff or Senior Staff Engineer from a company with a strong engineering culture, who has experience designing complex systems.
• A former CTO or technical cofounder of a startup.
• A founding engineer of a company that has achieved notable success (e.g., Series B+ funding).
• Familiarity with our technology stack (Typescript, Node.js, React, Postgres, AWS, Render, Prisma, Synadia) is advantagous.
• Experience in building data pipelines or analytics products is advantageous.
