Our client, a New York-based registered investment adviser, is seeking a Client Services Associate.
Job Details:
Position: Client Services Associate
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $80-90k base + bonus + benefits
Degree: Required
**This role is in office three days a week**
LICENSING & DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:
Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, Series 7
Series 65 or 66 licenses (within 90 days)
Responsibilities of the Client Services Associate:
- Participating in client meetings with firm principals to collect personal information and develop investment allocations and planning suggestions.
- Opening accounts and completing all related paperwork
- Tracking funding of accounts and ensuring investment per agreed upon allocation and ongoing monitoring of accounts
- Handling client inquiries
- Preparing client reports as needed by firm principals or client
- Expected to be familiar with the firm's clients to serve as backup to other associates in their absence
- Expected to have working knowledge of all investment vehicles utilized by the firm including stock holdings, fixed income strategies, outside managers.
- Analyzing and resolving discrepancies between custodian and internal portfolio management systems (Tamarac/Advent Axys)
Requirements of the Client Services Associate:
- A bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years of preferred experience in wealth management client service
- Capable of working under pressure in a dynamic setting
- Superb listening, verbal and written communication, plus analytical and problem-solving abilities – Expect significant client engagement and collaboration with other advisors.
- Unwavering integrity – Always prioritizing the client’s interests and ethical actions.
- Teamwork and leadership qualities – A solid track record of working well in partnerships and teams.
- Proactive self-assurance – Takes initiative in tackling issues for advisors and clients as they emerge.

- Efficient time management – Skilled at prioritizing tasks and producing quality work even under tight deadlines.
