Clinical Nurse Educator
to join our team. This position will support the outpatient ambulatory clinic staff at our Montlake and Northwest medical center campuses.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Monday-Friday
- Daytime hours PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, develops, organizes, teaches, and evaluates staff education. This may include orientations, in-services, residencies, BLS/ACLS renewals, and continuing education programs
- Conducts specific classes and competency verifications
- Works with staff to identify opportunities for professional growth and implements educational strategies to support staff in transition
- Acts as an education resource to support quality patient care
- Collaborates with community agencies outside the medical center regarding professional nursing practice
- Promotes and supports a high functioning environment that fosters continuing learning and professional development
- Participates in clinical and organizational policy and procedure development
- Supports systems and processes to promote evidence-based practice
- Supports systems and processes to promote clinical education for students in nursing and allied health care programs
- Supports systems and processes to promote equity, diversity and inclusion
- Participates in the development of quality assessment and improvement programs REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Active licensure to practice as a RN in Washington State
- BLS
- 4 years of RN work experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic
- 2 years of experience in education/teaching, including experience developing, implementing, presenting, and evaluating education programs
- Strong working knowledge of adult teaching and learning principles
