The Great Pumpkin has returned to #OSH! 🎃 He's looking for GREAT OSH employees who do GREAT things for our patients, our guests, our physicians, and our fellow OSH employees! He's already visited several of our GREAT employees and will be making his rounds all October!
This week our annual skills fair kicked off with a fiesta theme. This gives our clinical staff an opportunity to stay current on best practices, new developments, and regulations. There are multiple fun and interactive stations where they can get hands-on experience and interact at their own pace. And there may be some snacks involved as well!
🌟OSH Spotlight🌟 - Shaunda, PACU RN Shaunda celebrates her 8th year at #OSH this month and when asked what keeps her coming back to work each week, she said: "I feel very supported and appreciated at OSH. I love that OSH places a huge focus on patient satisfaction. I love hearing our patients tell me what a great experience they have had!" It is employees like Shaunda that make the OSH experience so great for our patients and family members. We appreciate you, Shaunda, and happy OSH-iversary! 🎉

Dr. Higgins (pictured below) and Dr. Cha are excited to announce the addition of a new service line at #OSH to better support our cardiac patients after a cardiac event or procedure. Cardiac Rehab is a medically supervised program designed to improve cardiovascular heath following a cardiac emergency or in some cases chronic cardiac conditions. During cardiac rehab, patients will work with a team of healthcare professionals who will create a personalized plan to meet their specific needs. This may include physical therapy to include exercise goals and programs, dietary guidance, and stress management. Some of our cardiac rehab team is pictured below.
Over the last few months and the coming months, our Inpatient floors are receiving a major remodel! Our orthopedic floor is now completely open and we couldn't be happier with the new look! When asked her what keeps her coming back to #OSH after 23 years she said: "I came to OSH (formerly known as OHO) because it was a different kind of hospital that focused more on patient care. Throughout the different roles that I have had, from direct patient care to support roles, I have been able to continue to have patient care as my underlying focus and motivation. In my current role in IT, I help the providers, clinical and non-clinical staff, so that they can focus on giving patients the best care and the best outcomes possible. At the end of the day, it’s all about the patient for me. That is why I am still here 23 years later!"
