Commercial Underwriter

We are looking for a Commercial Underwriter to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties related to the credit review and underwriting of commercial loans
• Ensure the consistent use of well-supported and factual analyses and processes to determine and recommend risk ratings for loans that are manually underwritten
• Evaluate adequacy of loan structure and make appropriate loan structuring recommendations; such recommendations may include, but are not limited to, loan term, loan amortization, loan pricing, and loan covenants
• Perform complete and accurate cash flow and debt service analysis to include business and global cash flow debt service coverage ratios
• Analyze collateral securing loan requests, performing an independent analysis of collateral being offered and whether collateral conforms to guidelines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of commercial credit experience
• Knowledge of financial statements and general accounting
• Knowledge of commercial loan products, functions, policies and procedures
• Ability to make sound decisions, prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
