We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial and Technical Director to join our North America team and lead our commercial and technical operations in the region.
Position Overview: The Commercial and Technical Director will manage a team of 7 professionals and drive business growth in the North America region. This role is responsible for achieving regional sales revenue of approximately 170 million Euros, managing customer relationships, and coordinating with distribution partners. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and have extensive experience in the rubber market.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Commercial and Technical department with a team of 7 people, driving business for the North America region.
Responsible and accountable for regional sales revenue of approximately 170 million Euros.
Manage customers across the North America region, including distribution partners.
Prepare sales budgets and maintain forecasts to support business operations and supply chain.
Contribute to and execute strategy creation and implementation as part of the North America management team.
Represent both BLs, FTA - Functional Tire Additives and SRP - Special Rubber Products, in the North America region, coordinating local activities and serving as the main key contact to headquarters and global marketing teams.
Oversee pricing strategy and manage variable margins to maximize sales and profit for the Business Unit.
Develop market studies to enhance the understanding of the rubber business on a regional basis, supporting the global strategy implementation while emphasizing regional customer needs.
Organize exhibitions, conferences, and customer activities in North America.
Supervise and mentor the Sales and Technical teams.
Manage the application development department, focusing on providing technical support to customers and developing new business opportunities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry (required); MBA or equivalent (advantageous).
Minimum of 10 to 15 years of proven experience in the North American rubber market is required.
Strong people management skills.
Proficiency in SAP and CRM systems.
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
Language skills: English (required); Spanish and German (advantageous).
Minimum of 10 years of business management experience.
Experience managing a diverse team.
