Do you know what’s in your salad 🥗? Of the 26,000 biomolecules found in the plants we eat, most are still unidentified, and their health effects generally unknown. Understanding these biomolecules is the goal of The Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI) and it becomes even more important as climate change reduces available nutrients in some crops. Our president, Rajiv J. Shah, spoke with CNBC Africa about expanding clean energy access across the continent. We are working with The World Bank and the African Development Bank Group to help realize the ambition of electrifying 300 million people across Africa by 2030, 1/3 of whom are in Nigeria. Rajiv J. Shah shared stories of entrepreneurs who've transformed their businesses after switching from diesel generators to solar power. These changes aren't just good for the environment - they're creating jobs and driving inclusive economic growth. "When we multiply that across the continent in sub-Saharan Africa, we can have a real impact in restarting inclusive growth" What are your thoughts on scaling clean energy access in Africa? How can we accelerate progress towards universal, sustainable energy? Watch the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/e2P44GUd #CleanEnergy #EconomicOpportunity #LetsChangeEnergy

What if we could predict and prevent malaria outbreaks before they happen? That's exactly what Dr. Manuel Espinoza and his team are working towards. In this video, learn how they're using climate and population data to assess community risk and preparedness. It's a pioneering approach to combat the world's deadliest animal - the mosquito - in the face of climate change. See how we're collaborating with the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. to reimagine global health solutions and make opportunity universal and sustainable: https://lnkd.in/eNmMrZAe #MatterOfImpact #DataDrivenHealth #ClimateResilience

In a small remote community in La Moskitia Honduras, people were getting malaria not once but two or three times in a row. Responding to this crisis, Dr. Manuel Espinoza and his team from the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. embarked on a nine-hour journey—half of it by canoe—to reach the area. They helped the community map the cases, and realized a swampy area needed draining. The community took on the challenge of draining the swamp, demonstrating how data can pinpoint problems and community action can drive solutions. Additionally, efforts are now underway to establish an early warning system to prevent future outbreaks. Read more about their work here: https://lnkd.in/eeRBVA2m
