Job Summary: The Communications Agent will serve as the primary liaison between the organization and its external stakeholders, including customers, media, and the public. This role involves managing and disseminating information, handling inquiries, and maintaining a positive image of the organization through effective communication strategies. The Communications Agent will also support internal communication efforts to ensure alignment and consistency across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • External Communication:
    • Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews with company spokespeople.
    • Draft press releases, media statements, and other public communication materials.
    • Manage social media accounts and online presence, ensuring consistent and timely updates.
    • Monitor media coverage and report on public perception of the organization.
    • Coordinate events and press conferences as needed.
  • Internal Communication:
    • Assist in developing and distributing internal newsletters, memos, and updates.
    • Support the development of internal communication strategies to align with organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with various departments to gather information and create content for internal communication.
  • Crisis Management:
    • Assist in developing and implementing crisis communication plans.
    • Respond promptly to emerging issues or crises, ensuring accurate and timely information is communicated.
    • Work closely with senior management to prepare for and manage potential crises.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and other stakeholders.
    • Represent the organization at external events, meetings, and conferences as needed.
    • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to execute communication strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
