Salary range - $113,900 - $154,100 a year

What You Will Do
- Create and manage media connections with top-tier print and broadcast outlets, podcasts, and other media to land creative storylines showcasing Klarna’s success and value.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for brand differentiation.
- Train Klarna leaders for media opportunities and speaking engagements.
- Proactively fact-check articles to ensure accurate reporting of Klarna, working with journalists and editors on corrections.
- Defend Klarna’s reputation by actively engaging with journalists to brief them on our business and correct misperceptions.
- Collaborate with global internal stakeholders (product teams, legal, finance, etc.) to find stories to tell and ensure the US audience is well-informed about Klarna’s activities.
- Advise adjacent teams on reputational impacts of arising issues and implement necessary operational changes.
- Ensure standardized processes and routines are in place for high-quality output.
- Contribute your own initiatives and suggestions to enhance our communications strategy.
- An experienced media relations expert (4+ years), skilled in building press connections and achieving outstanding media results both proactively and reactively.
- Possess a keen nose for newsworthy stories and the ability to generate headlines.
- A driven self-starter who thrives in dynamic, fast-changing environments.
- Extremely detail-oriented with a talent for excellent execution in a fast-paced setting.
- Preferred: Agency experience.
- A proactive approach, ready to embrace a dynamic and demanding role beyond conventional boundaries.
- Flexibility and resilience to handle spontaneous challenges and changes without stress.
- A hands-on attitude, eager to dive deep into tasks and contribute actively.
- Enthusiasm for broad and evolving responsibilities, with a disinterest in strictly defined roles.
