General Description

The Project Specialist, Marketing delivers excellent service and deliverables to all Smith System customers, both external and internal, using multiple communication platforms and systems.



Responsibilities


  • Work with Marketing Manager to support planning, communication, and strategic projects.
  • Help to develop processes to increase efficiency and productivity in the marketing department.
  • Lead process improvement exercises.
  • Managing marketing calendar and making sure deadlines are all met.
  • Collaborate with the graphics team on marketing artwork and design.
  • Oversee Graphic Designer, Digital Marketing Specialist, Field Marketing Specialist and Samples Clerk including day to day tasks, project management, time off, etc.
  • Understanding the company, its products and customer base to help execute effective marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure all marketing assets are on-brand and aligned with the brand strategy.
  • Apply audience messaging frameworks to diverse audiences.
  • Foster strong working relationships with dealers and sales team to implement effective individual marketing materials as needed.
  • Oversee samples and sample room.
  • Oversee and proof marketing materials including digital and print campaigns.
  • Process and ensure all catalog requests, dealer mailings and samples are being sent out in a timely in a manner.
  • Work with marketing team to manage renderings and the rendering process.
  • Proofing as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.




Work experience / education requirements


  • College degree required.
  • Experience with furniture is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in managing a team.



Abilities Required


  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure functions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ability to multitask and move quickly from one task to another, often with interruptions.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Must be an excellent time manager and able to prioritize and handle critical tasks seamlessly.
  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various deadlines.
  • Experienced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Comfortable with engaging clients via video conferencing and aiding in providing virtual tours of our showroom.
  • Flexibility with schedule when a deadline is approaching.
  • Comfortable writing copy.
  • Must be a team player and be available to work with the team toward a shared goal. Willing to learn Wordpress, Hubspot and Adobe software.
