Wherever you are in the world, this coming Saturday 5th October, don't forget to celebrate the 182nd anniversary of the first batch of our beloved Pilsner Urquell brewed in 1842. If you are in Czechia, why not join us in Pilsen for Pilsner Fest 2024 and celebrate with the people behind the success of Pilsner Urquell. At this year's Pilsner Fest, as well as celebrating, you can look forward to great bands from Plzeňský Prazdroj, special tours, a cooking show, but most importantly, a perfectly served beer. The gates to this year's Pilsner Fest will open on Saturday, October 5 at 11:00. A celebratory toast will then take place symbolically at 18:42 on the main stage. This year the Dreher Sörgyárak Beer Museum in Budapest, home to one of Hungary’s largest and richest beer collections, celebrates its 45th anniversary! As part of the museum’s priority to expand and protect its exhibits, visitors can enjoy a newly updated beer history time-travel film about the adventures of Antal Dreher. During September visitors can purchase a half-price ticket for a guided tour of the museum, featuring a unique collection of beer industry exhibits. The brewery is also organizing a cultural marketing study project for the museum in cooperation with Budapest Metropolitan University. Alongside the celebrations, Dreher Breweries have launched a limited-edition board game, allowing players to follow the life story of the legendary brewery master, Antal Dreher, travelling with him through some of Europe’s finest breweries to ‘master the craft of brewing.’ The board game also features iconic objects from the Dreher Beer Museum, and it will be available for purchase exclusively at the museum. Our colleagues at Kompania Piwowarska have just launched their biggest supply chain investment project. KP’s new high-bay warehouse, the construction of which has just begun at our Poznań brewery in Poland, will cover 12,000 m², stand 40 meters tall, and accommodate 40,000 pallets. With a project value of PLN 200 million, it constitutes the largest logistics investment in the company's history. The facility, set to be fully operational in 2026 will also help us reduce CO₂ emissions from transportation by over 2,300 tons annually.
