Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is seeking mid and senior career engineers with Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA), Advanced Nuclear experience, or licensing experience to support regulatory and risk-based client needs. The project team is located in West Chester, PA but remote work options may be available for the right candidate. Our team provides consulting to the nuclear industry and serves customers located throughout the world. We perform specialty technical services in a wide variety of engineering projects, which range from day-to-day nuclear power plant operation to cutting edge research and development in all areas related to plant safety.
Responsibilities
The Consulting Engineer will join a dynamic team of nuclear consultants located nationwide. The successful candidate will develop PRA and risk-based analyses, calculations, assessments, and guidance to support a diverse variety of projects supporting the nuclear industry, such as engineering analyses, regulatory/licensing support, machine learning applications and software development, probabilistic risk assessments (PRA), and PRA-based licensing applications. As a consultant, a solid grasp of engineering fundamentals, ability to learn quickly, analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written presentation skills are key.

National Pay Range
$120,000—$150,000 USD

Qualifications
- B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience required
- Prior experience in PRA, nuclear licensing or advanced nuclear is required
- Excellent communications and writing skills
- Experience with PRA internal events, fire PRA, external hazards, risk-informed applications (e.g., RICT, 50.69), online risk tools, or other risk-based or engineering-based projects a plus
- Experience with nuclear power plant engineering, nuclear plant systems, licensing, operations, or other on-site or corporate technical departments
- Experience with one or more commercial nuclear risk software tools (e.g., CAFTA, Phoenix Architect, HRA Calculator, MAAP, PRAQuant, PARAGON, SPAR) a plus
- Project management skills a plus
