Chobani’s Consumer Insights & Platform Strategy team leverages category, consumer and shopper insights data to guide decisions made by the broader Commercial Strategy team. Through objective investigation, the Consumer Insights team identifies consumers’ most crucial and relevant needs and communicates them back to the organization in a commercially relevant way. This role’s focus will be Shopper Insights, and will act as trusted strategic partner to sales, category development and shopper marketing by delivering actionable information about our retailers’ shoppers. This role contributes to driving company sales and gaining advantage over competitors by developing custom research and thought leadership to uncover category and shopper insights that drive increased performance at retail.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage custom quantitative and qualitative primary research in conjunction with other 3rd party data sources answer critical business questions from Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners
  • Partner closely with Category, Sales, and Shopper Marketing to develop national and customer-specific shopper research plans to uncover high level shopper trends and unique shopping behaviors across our key retailer partners
  • Partner closely with Category, Sales, and Shopper Marketing to communicate research findings and recommendations to retailer partners, helping to cultivate a relationship with our customers where Chobani is seen as strategic partner and thought leader
  • Own the end-to-end custom research process. Specifically:
  • Translate business questions into research objectives;
  • Design and execute analyses;
  • Utilize statistical skills to clean and analyze data;
  • Identify relevant trends within datasets and derive recommendations that promote unbiased evidence-based, data-driven decision-making;
  • Visualize the information and present findings, creating a cohesive story in a clear format that makes complex concepts accessible for all audiences
  • Develop and embrace new research methodologies and approaches to produce actionable insights
  • Be an internal source of expertise and excellence on research and insights, and the methods used to gain a greater understanding of our current & potential consumers
  • Manage research partner relationships, roadmaps, and capabilities
  • Ad hoc business reporting necessary to answer time sensitive questions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required – in Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Analytics or related field a plus
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience within market research/consumer insights desired; experience in CPG industry preferred
  • Experience working with syndicated sales data such as Nielsen or IRI data.
  • Experience solving business objectives using a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods including but not limited to: consumer segmentation, surveying, focus groups, ethnographies, digital communities, IDIs, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability in survey design (monadic, TURF, conjoint, MaxDiff, etc.), programming (ie Qualtrics), and analysis using statistical software tools (R/Python preferred, or willingness to learn)
  • Experience with common statistical analysis methods (significance testing, regression modeling, hypothesis testing, multivariate analyses, forecasting/time series, etc.)

Compensation Range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00, plus bonus.
