About The Position

As EADEM's Content & Social Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our brand's social media presence, creating and executing original content across platforms like Instagram and TikTok. This role is central to shaping our online identity, growing our brand, and engaging our digital community.

The ideal candidate is highly creative, proactive, and well-versed in social media dynamics. You'll need strong skills in graphic design, typography, and basic editing to produce engaging visuals, including photos and videos. You will closely collaborate with our Marketing and Creative Teams and will build quality relationships with content creators to enhance our reach. This role will report to one of our Co-Founders and is an incredible opportunity to shape our brand.

Above all, you'll bring EADEM's brand to life through meaningful and imaginative social content that resonates with and celebrates our diverse audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Direction:
    • Serve as the visionary force behind our social media presence, conceptualizing and creating original content that resonates with our audience and aligns with company objectives
    • Ideate and produce compelling photo and video content to be distributed across our social channels, with a keen understanding of the unique nuances of platforms like Instagram and TikTok
    • Collaborate closely with other members of the Creative Team, including designers, art directors, video editors, and brand managers, to bring social projects to fruition
  • Content Creation & Community Management:
    • Develop and execute photo/video franchises tailored for Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant social platforms, ensuring consistent engagement and brand messaging
    • Cultivate relationships with content creators and industry experts to collaborate on ad hoc and franchise social content, amplifying our reach and impact within the online community
    • Stay abreast of social media trends, feedback, and sentiment, leveraging insights to inform content strategy and optimize engagement metrics
    • Manage online communities, engaging with comments and direct messages, and foster brand loyalty
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Creative Team and Brand Team, to translate brand vision into compelling social content that drives audience connection and loyalty
    • Adapt social content strategies as needed to meet key performance indicators, including engagement, impressions, and follower growth
Expectations:

  • Create and implement photo/video franchises tailored for Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant social channels
  • Establish partnerships and collaborations with content creators and beauty experts to enhance social content
  • Monitor social media trends and feedback to inform content strategy and optimize engagement
  • Collaborate with the Creative and Marketing Teams to bring social content initiatives to life
  • Adjust content strategies to meet key performance indicators and goals
  • Develop a distinct social identity and visual "world" within our Instagram channel, reinforcing our brand narrative and values
  • Partner on Marketing initiatives to elevate the impact and longevity of product launch moments through strategic social campaigns
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team and ensure the social content calendar is planned at least one month in advance, scheduled at least a week in advance, and maintain a consistent and engaging presence across platforms

Qualifications:

  • Strong alignment with EADEM’s mission to serve people of color in the beauty industry
  • Comfort and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Self starter, courageous, curious, adaptable in non-hierarchical environment
  • 3-5+ years of professional social media experience, preferably in the beauty, fashion, or a similarly innovative and high-energy industry
  • Demonstrated ability to drive social media growth (e.g., increased followers, impressions, and engagement on platforms like Instagram and TikTok)
  • Demonstrable proficiency in photography and content creation, with a portfolio showcasing exceptional visual storytelling skills
  • Proficiency in video and photo editing, with the ability to create engaging multimedia content
  • Proficiency in social media tools and analytics (e.g., Dash Hudson, Creator IQ), content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite), and project management software (e.g., Monday.com)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for the Content and Social Manager, based in New York City is $80,000 - $100,000.
