Thank you for your persistence and providing us with the right tools." You will be the first content marketer working on our marketing team and take ownership of our content marketing engine. You’ll be interacting directly with our marketing, product and sales teams in order to create high quality marketing content. You are articulate, passionate about media creation, and able to execute on a set schedule. You thrive working with a positive team and staying organized. You get excited seeing others benefit from your contributions. Our content marketer will engage with a range of cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, and Customer Success. Our marketing team is lean and mean – we’re looking for someone who will take initiative, learn quickly, and bring a growth mindset to work every day. This is a remote full-time opportunity, open to applicants anywhere in the world (the job listing says Oakland, CA so it gets posted on LinkedIn). You will:

  • Envision and create content that communicates core Distru value propositions, while staying on brand with our culture and voice. Includes but is not limited to: Video content (short-form and long-form), illustrated images and guides, short form copy attached to visual medium
  • Submit content on a routine schedule, with a set plan of content to be delivered over a predetermined period of time
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, cannabis operation workflows, and customer product needs
  • Build an understanding of our customer profiles and ideal prospects, tailored to the individual needs of different cannabis business structures and state-specific regulations
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Sales to tailor our content to best fit the needs of our customers and prospects
  • Collaborate with our Customer Success and Sales teams to conduct market research, connect with our customers, and understand their product education needs


You have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for creating engaging video and illustrated content
  • A strong understanding of the B2B SAAS product marketing lifecycle
  • A strong desire to learn and succeed in supporting cannabis operations
  • Creative, content-driven methods for communicating complex ideas in an easy to understand way
  • The ability to quickly grasp new information and demonstrate understanding of complex supply chain dynamics
  • Independent work habits, are diligent with planning, and detail oriented
  • A good sense of humor and a desire to have fun :)


Your Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience using software for creative content (Adobe Creative Suite products, Figma, or similar tools.)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in B2B SAAS content marketing
  • Previous CRM experience (Hubspot is a plus)
  • Comfortable speaking to an audience and being ‘the face’ on videos


Preferred not required

  • Experience using Adobe After Effects & Adobe Premiere (or similar software combinations) to create engaging visual content
  • Experience with 3D computer graphics software (Blender, Unity, 3DS Max, Autodesk). This includes 3D asset creation, keyframing, and rendering
  • Experience in the cannabis industry, preferably within the B2B supply chain


Interview Process

  • 30-minute initial interview
  • 45-minute Technical Interview with Marketing Manager + assign take-home
  • 45-minute review of take-home assignment with Marketing Manager
  • 30-minute Team AMA Interview
  • Offer Letter
