POSITION SUMMARY
Contracts Account Specialist facilitates the efficient operation of customer and consultant relations. Duties include contract preparation, documentation and management, accounting and record keeping for accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions, and providing support for general accounting projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage customer and vendor accounts using Deltek Ajera accounting software
· Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customer and vendor representatives
· Create periodic customer invoices based on project status provided by associates
· Verify and post payments received by the organization in an accurate and timely manner
· Ensure receivables are current and follow up on delinquent accounts
· Ensure bills and expense vouchers are fully documented and are paid timely and accurately
· Compare contract prices, terms of payment and other charges to transactions
· Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
· Practices critical review of financial documents for completeness and accuracy
· Ensure adequacy of vendor documentation such as insurance coverage and verifications
Perform other related duties as assigned.
· Receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
· Collaborating with associates to gather, analyze and interpret relevant financial data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor or Associate degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience in accounting
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills; high attention to detail and accuracy; ability to multi-task; ability to meet deadlines and follow up on pending issues.
High ethics and integrity; able to work with sensitive and confidential information.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong understanding of General Ledger System, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing
Technology Expertise: Word processing, spreadsheets, email communication.
Competency in Deltek Ajera accounting software.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
