Team Overview

The current team is 3 Contracts Specialists. This team sits within the Vendor Management Office (VMO) within the Technology Finance org.

Please be sure candidates understand (especially if someone with more of a legal background) that this role does NOT report into a legal org. This role supports IT contracts only.

Project Description

As a Contracts Specialist within the Technology Finance organization, you will be responsible for supporting your business partners through every phase within the contracts lifecycle management (CLM) process as well as play a pivotal role in helping the business partners navigate through the vendor management and procurement process. You will have opportunities to work closely with various stakeholders of all levels both internally and externally as well as work on key projects that have high visibility across the company. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated individual who thrives working in a high energy, fast-paced, challenging environment under tight timelines.

Duties/Day To Day Overview

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements (NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements), order forms, SOWs and amendments required to support business activities
  • Manage vendor initiatives including sourcing activities (RFx), supplier selection, contract/pricing negotiation and spend tool administration
  • Build strategic partnerships and serve as a procurement/contracting SME to our business partners by providing guidance on sourcing, contracting and vendor management strategies
  • Analyze company spend regularly to appropriately determine and execute on sourcing initiative and cost saving opportunities
  • Partner with Legal, Corporate Accounting, Risk and Compliance teams with respect to contract reviews, threatened and actual litigation, corporate compliance issues, and other similar matters affecting the supported business units
  • Attend and/or lead team meetings reporting on contract status and metrics related to renewals, vendor spend, and cost savings
  • Help create, deploy and maintain best in class procurement, contracting and vendor management processes and workflows for the Technology organization
  • Educate and train our business partners on the VMO processes and other related content

Top Requirements

(Must haves)

  • 3+ years of experience related to contracts management experience – specifically IT, SaaS and hardware contracts.
  • Experience with vendor negotiating and redlining contracts (MSA or SOW)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with e-signature tools and spend management tools.
