Controller Responsibilities
Manage daily finance operations and GAAP accounting, incorporating automation wherever feasible (including billing and monthly invoicing for customers).
Provide accurate financial GAAP reports to the CEO, board members, and lenders.
Oversee the budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
Ensure adherence to all legal, tax, and banking covenant requirements.
Assist the commercial team with pricing strategies and preparing quotations for proposals.
Controller Qualifications
Proven leader with 7+ years in accounting and financial management (preferably in life sciences, laboratory, healthcare, or startup environments).
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA is a plus.
Skilled in financial and management reporting, payroll, tax, and budgeting.
Proficient in Excel (including modeling), QuickBooks Online, and other financial tools.
Independent and proactive with strong attention to detail.
Experience with clinical trial billing cycles is advantageous.
Experience in M&A financial modeling is beneficial.
