Controller

Robert Half Management Resources (Interim/Project based Consulting Group within Robert Half) seeks an Interim Controller for a manufacturing client based in Austin. Reporting directly to the CFO, the ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee company's financial reporting while directing a small accounting team. To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will have a "hands-on" roll up the sleeves attitude with the ability to partner up with senior leadership as the company expands in the Texas market.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and disseminating financial statements, analyzing production costs, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Collaborate with plant management to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and enhance profitability.
• Oversee accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, G/L and Revenue Recognition
• Review Cost Accounting standards and work with Plant Manager for inventory Management
• Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for site
• Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions
• Prepare investment reporting for visibility to investors

Qualifications

• CPA Highly desired
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of management experience
• Experience in manufacturing industry is REQUIRED
• Experience in Cost Accounting (standard costing) is REQUIRED
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
• Experience with reporting to PE / Investment group highly desired
