Our client who has designed and built world class automated machinery is looking for a full time controller at their Twinsburg, Ohio facility. This division is part of a global organization based in Germany. The ideal candidate will have experience as an accountant in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a senior managerial role. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will streamline budgeting, forecasting, general accounting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. The controller will also produce thorough financial-status reports for the CEO, senior managers, and German parent company to assist in improving operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.
Responsibilities
Oversight, preparation, analysis, and distribution of the company's monthly financial statements.
Manages monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Prepare monthly reports, including ad-hoc analysis for CEO, Sr. managers, and German parent company.
Drive financial and commercial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape.
Manage, recruit, train and develop local accounting team creating and improving existing processes.
Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and internal guidelines.
Assist in achieving budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
Oversee payroll, insurances, 401K, FSA programs efficiency through innovative process development.
Prepare and comply with all corporate taxes, local, state and federal obligations.
Responsibility for inventory and stocking levels.
Oversee and manage cashflow and liquidity Forecast.
Create project calculations and control efficiency based on existing ERP system data, including implementation of Total COGS methodology from German GAAP reporting.
Support personnel management issues together with departmental managers.
Others as directed by the CEO.
Qualifications
Minimum bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, preferably licensed CPA.
Exposure to Manufacturing environment is required, basic knowledge of German GAAP is preferred.
Proven supervisory skills with at least 5 years in a supervisory role capacity.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Positive attitude. Detail oriented. Driven to succeed. Dependable and reliable.
Advanced Knowledge of Excel and the ability to learn other software tools as required. Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
