We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Controls Engineer to join our innovative team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems. You will be working with cutting-edge technologies such as Allen Bradley PLC's, robotics, conveyance systems, and more. Responsibilities
As a Controls Engineer, you will
- Design, develop, and test control systems for automated manufacturing equipment using Allen Bradley PLC's.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC's and other control systems.
- Develop and implement control strategies for robotic systems.
- Work with conveyance systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, and design control systems that meet these requirements.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting and resolving control system issues.
- Document control system designs and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance control systems and operational efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, preferably in the technology or manufacturing industry.
- Extensive experience with Allen Bradley PLC's and PLC programming.
- Experience with conveyor and conveyance systems.
- Knowledge of robotics and automation systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve control system issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other professionals.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
