As a key member of our Corporate Communications department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans to enhance the company's brand and reputation.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages for a variety of target audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in media relations, crisis communications, and social media management, particularly LinkedIn.
- Proven track record of successfully managing communication projects and campaigns.
- Previous experience managing LinkedIn accounts for corporate entities.
- Knowledge of the food and nutrition industry is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires communication with different US locations and some overseas locations with time differences (e.g., Tokyo). Travel 10-15%, mostly domestic (e.g., Akron, OH) with occasional overseas.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement corporate communication strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Create engaging content for various communication channels, LinkedIn, website, and internal communications.
- Support senior leadership in preparing speeches, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, HR, and Legal, to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
- Manage the company's LinkedIn account and engage with followers to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Support various divisions within the company on their marketing and communication efforts to ensure consistency and alignment with overall corporate messaging.
- Other duties as assigned.
