What’s The Job?

The Corporate Controller will provide financial expertise, be responsible for reporting and managing financial information, be a key business partner as well as provide guidance to our cross functional teams. The key responsibilities include implementing best-in-class finance processes, managing audits and audit partnership, tax, forecasting reports, managing cash flow and financial statements. Responsibilities:

  • Drive business process improvement by bringing best practices to the finance functions.
  • Provide financial guidance and decision-making support to cross-functional business partners.
  • Manage general accounting staff (A/P, A/R, & G/L), financial planning, reporting and analysis functions.
  • Lead potential implementation of new accounting finance solutions to replace outdated software and streamline manufacturing and transaction processes.
  • Complete month-end close tasks, ensuring that financial statements accurately state and conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including inventory valuations and reserve amounts.
  • Drive month-end close process; provide analysis for leadership review
  • Financial reporting and reconciliations: prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements on time.
  • Complete all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll, tax, and government-required filings on time.
  • Manage internal/external audits review requests and support schedules.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years working as a Controller or Asst. Controller in the CPG industry.
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP)
  • A proactive, continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience driving accountability and countermeasures when goals are not being achieved
  • Comfortable going out on the floor and being hands-on with operations.
  • Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas, and celebration of successes, as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.
  • Adept at problem-solving and finding new perspectives, always looking for areas to continuously improve and drive the organization forward.
  • Flexible, willing, and quick to learn new processes, new technology, and new ways of thinking.
  • A people person, able to quickly build rapport and relationships at all levels of the organization from the CEO to production operators.
  • Skilled at leading and influencing people across direct and cross-functional teams.
