Description

We are seeking a Creative Director to join our team to be a leading voice and driver of the company's creative output both organically and commercially. This person will report to our VP of Creative Strategy and work with a team of Creative Strategists and Producers, leading projects from client brief to production. The Creative Director is skilled at pitching ideas and gaining client confidence as a creative leader who can be relied upon to manage large-scale, cross-channel deliverables. This hire will play a key role in building the FOS brand across partnerships, branded content, and original content. Our ideal candidate is a "big idea" thinker, skilled copywriter, powerful communicator, and storyteller.

This person will be part of the Creative Strategy team work collaboratively with our Brand Partnerships and Integrated Marketing teams, and play a key role in bringing the FOS brand voice to life across social, custom content, and podcasts, along with traditional marketing initiatives. The ideal person for this role can juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously while upleveling the creative output of the team members and cross-functional partners to pitch and produce the strongest ideas possible. We expect our Creative Director to possess thought leadership within the world of digital media and to provide creative solutions that seamlessly connect all aspects of our ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a larger team of Creative Strategists, Sellers, and Integrated Marketers to lead partnership proposals and brand-led projects from a creative ideation and execution perspective
  • Lead the ideation and creative development process from initial briefing through pitching, ensuring ideas are purposeful, on-brand, and on-strategy
  • Produce compelling, creative, and data-driven narratives and stories using Keynote and other desktop design applications
  • Mentor a team of Creative Strategists in concepting, copywriting, and creative direction, driving creative scale across the sales and brand partnerships organization
  • Attend media/marketing calls with brand advertisers and/or agencies to identify client needs, objectives, and KPIs to inform the creative process and pitch ideas succinctly & effectively
  • Lead agency, brand, and partner briefings, brainstorms, and workshops to develop bespoke partnership opportunities for our biggest advertising partners
  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing and Production teams to turn sold ideas into tangible content and experiential output, acting as creative liaison in partnership with brand, agency, and vendor partners
  • Key contributor to the development of new IP/Franchises across Social, Digital, Content, Editorial, Events, and Experiences, acting as creative producer on major initiatives

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working within Media, Advertising, Entertainment, Sports, and/or Lifestyle; Prior experience working in digital media and/or sports publishing is a plus.
  • Experience leading the development of creative ideas and narratives that lead to best-in-class content, campaigns, and executions.
  • Strong creative, writing, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Expert in Apple's Keynote and experience using design applications like Photoshop, Figma, Ceros, etc.
  • Experience leading brainstorms and developing concepts across a range of marketing channels.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-starter eager to build new programs, processes, and initiatives for the overall growth of the business.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant media platforms (newsletter, onsite, multimedia, social, etc.) as well as nuances between custom video and editorial content.
  • Incredibly organized with the ability to project manage and produce your own work and collaborate across teams clearly and confidently.
