Overview:


We’re currently looking for a Creative Director to lead our growing design, photo studio and copy teams. The Creative Director will oversee the end-to-end creative process and be responsible for continuing to enhance and differentiate our visual identity and brand voice to create a compelling experience across all customer touch points.


The Creative Director will bring the Rugs USA brand to life by:


  • Overseeing the creative direction of all brand assets, marketing materials, and online content from conception, through design and production, to on time and in budget delivery.
  • Develop and articulate a clear creative vision that aligns with the brand and business objectives
  • Bringing new ideas and developing a strong creative vision that greatly enhances our brand, but also grows and evolves with our customer and company.
  • Lead and inspire a team of designers, writers, photographers to deliver best-in-class content and customer engagement across our channels.
  • Leading large, strategic design and content marketing projects that present multidisciplinary challenges and span multiple departments.
  • Use strong creative skills to provide feedback and guidance to an array of creatives and external agencies.
  • Be a key voice in continuing to enhance the Rugs USA brand and its application through art direction, graphic and digital design, video, social design, UI and UX.
  • Scaling and optimizing the creative team’s and photo studio’s output and quality through mechanisms like guidelines, tools, templates and processes.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and have experience with social channels including Instagram and TikTok, in addition to emerging creative technologies such as CGI.
  • Gaining buy-in from internal stakeholders and effectively communicate the creative vision in a way that engages, inspires, and aligns internal teams.



Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in design, creative direction and brand strategy at a consumer brand, retailer or creative agency
  • 4+ years of experience leading digitally focused creative teams through strategy and execution
  • Portfolio demonstrating diverse creative work and ability to execute across channels
  • Ability and affinity for a combination of hands-on work and creative team leadership
  • Ability to lead a production team and manage and deliver to budgets and timelines
  • Understanding of digital content production and video, including familiarity with post-production retouching and editing
  • Deep experience designing for mobile & web with knowledge of UX and front-end web design processes and best practices
  • Experience hiring, managing, and developing a high performing creative team
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Commercially minded, open to input from all internal stakeholders, and able to incorporate feedback into creative deliverables
  • Self-driven with a bias towards action and a growth mindset
  • Experience managing photo studio operations
  • Passion for home, interior design and retail
