Clutch is looking for an Creative Director, Copy with pharmaceutical agency experience for client of ours.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the copywriting department, ensuring all copy is clear, concise, compliant, and resonates with the target HCP audience.
  • Collaborate closely with account management, research, and art direction teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns across all channels, with a focus on medical devices and rare disease therapeutics.
  • Concept, develop, and refine compelling copy for a variety of materials, including print ads, digital content, presentations, and healthcare professional (HCP) and patient materials.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and nurture a creative environment that fosters innovation and collaboration within the copywriting team.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop the skills of copywriters, ensuring ongoing professional growth within the department.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical advertising.
  • Present creative concepts and recommendations to clients with confidence and clarity.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising or marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in copywriting for medical devices and rare disease therapeutics.
  • A strong understanding of HCP and patient needs and motivations, with the ability to craft persuasive and educational copy.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Solid knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmaceutical marketing guidelines.
  • Experience in managing and motivating a creative team.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with content marketing strategies for the HCP audience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and disease states.
  • Experience with project management tools and workflows.
  • A strong track record of producing award-winning creative work.
