Creative Writer

Are you a passionate writer who enjoys pushing the creative envelope? From poetry, personal blogging, storytelling, and more-we're seeking a local one-of-a-kind full-time creative writer to join our Dogs Inc marketing team!

Responsibilities

• Create the following to evoke emotion, persuade, and educate:
• Unforgettable articles
• Heartwarming emails
• Witty social media posts
• Emotional stories
• Ability to proofread and edit copy to say more with fewer words to create beautiful, flowing stories with a clear theme and a significant impact.
  
  
Qualifications/Skills

• Innate creative writing talent and storytelling skills.
• Passion and desire to write on-brand copy in the Dogs Inc voice and desired sentence structure.
• Ability to think outside the box and craft compelling hooks that grab readers’ attention from the first line.
• Ability and willingness to conduct virtual “interviews” with Dogs Inc graduates to find the emotional story beneath the facts and organize it into a clear, impactful article.
• Solid writing experience.
• Adaptable tech skills to work within the latest task management tools and writing software with minimal oversight.
• Soft skills:
• Compassion, caring, and collaboration (these are a must)
• Empathy
• Work ethic
• Flexibility and ability to switch gears
• An “always learning” mindset when an editor reviews and offers feedback on your masterpiece
• Organization: It’s crucial to stay organized and operate within a technical project management system
  

Education And Experience

• B.S. degree desired; solid experience and powerful writing samples may be substituted for a degree.
• 5+ years of solid writing experience (if you don’t quite meet this requirement and your writing is stellar, we encourage you to submit your work for consideration)
