Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to any and all existing regulations on risk and risk transactions regardless of where they are originated.
  • Assist the Credit Administration Supervisor in managing the credit documentation process
  • Ensure adequacy of credit documentation for each risk asset
  • Prepare complete credit documentation for loans approved by the credit committee and/or Head Office
  • Send documentation to the customers for execution
  • Follow up on reception of executed documentation
  • Monitor expiration of credit documents
  • Track and administer syndicated credit transactions, maintaining close contact with agent banks
  • Assist the Credit Administration Supervisor with risk control and evaluation procedures and systems, including the implementation of any of the bank’s credit-related proprietary systems
  • Assist the Credit Administration Supervisor with systems development and information requirements of the credit function
  • Assist the Credit Administration Supervisor with monitoring and reporting risk transactions, including preparation on daily, weekly and monthly reporting
  • Ensure adherence to all U.S. banking regulations which may apply to risk transactions, their monitoring and control; also, ensure adherence to all Banco de España’s banking regulations and reporting requirements
  • Perform the loan administration function, including booking of loans, tracking maturities, overdrafts, payments, amendments etc
  • Assist the Credit Administration Supervisor with controlling and monitoring risk concentrations, limits and lines excesses and violations
  • Administer, control and monitor of all collateral held for credit facilities
  • Ensure collateral has been received, properly documented (pledged) and blocked on the branch’s systems
  • Safeguard all documentation required for perfecting the bank’s security interest in the collateral
  • Elaborate, control and follow up information to be sent to other internal and external areas of the Branch


Requirements

  • An Associate’s degree or a four year degree (B.A, B.S.), or equivalent
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers
  • Ability to speak, write and read English and Spanish fluently.
