Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Professionals to join our dynamic team in the waste industry. In this role, you will work closely with our senior data professionals to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive operational efficiencies and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization
Utilize SQL to extract and manipulate data from relational databases, including waste collection systems and customer databases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support for waste management operations.
Assist in the design and implementation of data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify opportunities for waste reduction, recycling optimization, and cost savings.
Apply data structures and algorithms to optimize data processing and analysis workflows, with a focus on improving waste management efficiency.
Support the development and maintenance of data models and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proficiency in Python programming language, with experience in data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
Strong understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Familiarity with data structures and algorithms
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for applying data science techniques to address real-world challenges.
Ability to communicate complex ideas and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI and Tableau) is a plus.
Prior internship or project experience in a data-related role
