Position Information

Position Overview

The Data Analyst position will report to the Sr. Manager, Commerce Engineering and is responsible for maintaining critical HealthStream data. The Salesforce system houses critical contracting information such as Product data, Sales data, Account data, etc. The Data Analyst will work closely with Salesforce Admins, the Business Enablement Team, and a wide range of business units. This position will use a mixture of technical tools to perform manual updates, use automation and build reports while working with internal stakeholders to support functional and downstream reporting needs. The Data Analyst will provide support on various tasks, cases, and projects in the Salesforce platform. This position requires self-motivation, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work well with teams - strong communication and analytical skills are a must. The applicant must have a solid understanding of data analysis and software development concepts and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.

  • Identify systemic and one-off errors in the data and implement corrections.
  • Build tools in SQL, Python, and Excel to efficiently automate complex data transformations and corrections
  • Work with Salesforce Admins to improve and streamline our quote-to-cash pipeline by enhancing our contracting system. Transform new data sets to conform to HealthStream standards before inserting them into the Salesforce system.
  • Process and correct new and historical data to address data completeness, consistency, conformity, accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.
  • Study current processes and be familiar with the various nuances in the data as result.
  • Understand and communicate the operational and reporting impact of any changes to the data.
  • Work with Operational teams to support their use and adoption of Salesforce toolsets which result in data quality.
  • Work with reporting stakeholders to assure they have appropriate views and access and consult on interpretation of the data.
  • Liaison between Sales, Legal, and Accounting to facilitate discovery to understand or correct unclear and unique contracts.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 1 + years of experience with data extraction and transformation tools (Excel, Access, SQL)
  • 1 + years of experience with Python (or similar)
  • Salesforce platform, admin, design experience preferred
