Deltek Financial Controller

RCS Staffing is seeking a Remote Deltek Controller / Accounting Manager to join the Corporate Team! This is a 100% remote position. RCS is a Women-Owned Small Business with a niche focus in placing consultants for Engineering firms across the country for both private and government entities.

Remote Deltek Controller / Accounting Manager Summary:

The ideal candidate must be be knowledgeable in closing the month for multiple companies, understand the intricacies of the Staffing Industry & have a strong knowledge in multi-state Payroll Administration. The Remote Controller / Accounting Manager will supervise and serve as a back-up for the Payroll Specialist, Accounts Payable Specialist and Accounts Receivable Specialist. This person must also have Deltek CostPoint knowledge or take the initiative to learn the software.

What you’ll do as a Deltek Controller / Accounting Manager:

• Perform month-end closing process for 3 companies in a timely manner using Deltek CostPoint.
• Present month-end financials to joint venture company's Board of Directors monthly
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Review weekly payroll for accuracy.
• Supervise Accounts Receivable Specialist, Accounts Payable Specialist and Payroll Specialist. Assist in training and mentoring.
• Learn how to process RCS in-house payroll and AR/AP in order to serve as a back-up when team members are on PTO.
• Prepare reports in Deltek CostPoint using Cognos.
• Perform audits to ensure billing rates are accurate.
• Conduct annual financial review preparation.
• Manage documentation and application submission for diversity certifications.
• Perform tax payment review and posting, monthly and quarterly state excise tax filing
• Perform annual 401(k) audit and census, 1095-C review/release, payroll reconciliation to payments, W-2 Prep, annual 940 Filing, state annual reports.
• Provide support for Controller tasks as needed, including financial analysis and reporting.

What you need as a Deltek Controller / Accounting Manager:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
• 5+ years experience in the area. Government or staffing experience a plus.
• Proven experience in month-end closing and accounts reconciliation.
• Familiarity with payroll processes and experience with payroll taxes (preferred).
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
