Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist (US Citizen Only)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and computer hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of IT resources, including desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Maintain inventory of all hardware and software resources and ensure proper documentation.
  • Provide training and support to staff and students on various software applications and technology tools.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement improvements to the district’s technology infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures regarding technology use and data security.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in desktop support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common software applications.
  • Experience with network and server administration is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar are preferred.
  • Federal Experience is a plus.
