Digital Creative Manager - Remote | WFH

Position Summary

As the Creative Manager, you will be the steward of our voice, visual identity, and creative direction across all digital and print materials. You will ensure a cohesive narrative of values and audience engagement to amplify our message and organize our immigrant community. Working closely with the Senior Marketing and Creative Director, you will manage both permanent and part-time creative staff, overseeing the day-to-day visual content management for our website, social media, video production, and campaign engagement. You will collaborate actively with various departments, including Communications, Advocacy, and Political.

The Creative Manager is responsible for keeping a pulse on our online membership, crafting strategies to increase engagement across all social media platforms, and leading the team in creating compelling content that authentically tells our story and amplifies our community's voices.

Responsibilities

Management:

Manage the creative team and contractors to boost membership engagement on social media.

Oversee and support the team in producing engaging content that strengthens our online presence.

Collaborate with the Creative Content Team to create visual components for a content strategy focused on engagement and acquisition.

Handle multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.

Develop relationships across the organization to address issues quickly and effectively.

Coordinate partnerships with movement organizations and the creative sphere.

Respond promptly to discussions and ongoing work, steering plans flexibly when rapid response is needed.

Brand Development

Oversee the development of internal brand collateral, including fundraising presentations, annual reports, and print materials.

Manage the visual elements of rapid response work and campaign collateral, including video, graphics, and photography.

Maintain the multimedia library, including photos, designs, and videos.

Stay updated on design trends in print, web, and social media.

Content And Social Media Presence

Develop creative digital engagement strategies using video, graphics, and web assets across various platforms.

Evolve social media strategies to engage key audiences and related entities.

Direct the team in creating and managing content for social media.

Track key metrics to continuously improve social media strategies.

Lead the social media team in developing engaging content and seizing rapid response opportunities.

Manage and develop a comprehensive social media and content calendar.

Growth, Creative, And Voice Strategy Development

Lead the team in framing ideas, developing stories, and simplifying complex public policy issues for various audiences.

Partner with campaigns, communications, programs, and policy teams to create effective design and social media strategies.

Ensure quality control of all social media platforms.

Serve as an editor for all social media materials, maintaining the organization's voice.

Develop programming to grow the voices of our membership and influencers.

Use analytics to develop new growth strategies based on content performance.

Organizational Leadership

Advise on organizational creative and branding strategy.

Participate in strategic and long-term planning processes.

Train and mentor youth in digital and content creation, building a pipeline of young leaders of color in the immigrant rights movement.

Prioritize physical and emotional health as a key component of thriving in your role.

Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inspiring organizational culture for staff to excel.

Desired Qualifications And Skills

5-6 years of experience in creating and managing digital content.

At least 3 years of experience managing fast-paced and creative teams.

Ability to drive learning and improvement through data-driven strategies.

Proficiency in modern web design, photography, and video editing programs (Adobe Suite: Premiere and/or Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

General knowledge of CSS/HTML, with a preference for website-building experience.

Expertise in creating advocacy-focused digital content.

Deep knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitch, YouTube) and their data.

Understanding of immigrant rights policy and organizing landscape.

Strong writing and communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and adaptability.

Passion for building leaders and community organizing principles.

Salary and Benefits

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation, health insurance, retirement plans, and life insurance.

Base pay ranges: $70,000/yr - $80,000/yr.

Vacation days increase with years of service.

Paid two weeks off holiday between December and January.

12 paid holidays.

4% 403(B) employer discretionary contribution.

12 weeks of paid family leave after 1 year of service.

Medical/Dental/Vision/Life coverage.

$120 monthly reimbursement for cell service/data and utilities.

$500 annual reimbursement for home office supplies.

$2000 stipend for professional development.

Location

This is a full-time, remote position. Preference for hiring in states where we already have employees working remotely: AZ, DC, CT, CA, IL, MO, NJ, NM, NY, OK, SC, and TX. Periodic travel is expected for team meetings, retreats, and events.
