- Manage, coordinate, and lead the monthly close process including timely account reconciliations, inter-company process, lead-sheets, SOX checklists, report books, and ensure quarterly operational interfaces (CIP, etc) reviews are performed.
- Develop the supervisory personnel in the general, payroll, and accounts payable departments. Cross train and re-balance work load assignments as required, including special project requests.
- Participate in the definition of proper internal control processes, ensure all areas are functioning as proscribed, and timely remediate any deficiencies uncovered and implement continuous improvement recommendations.
- Ensure timely support and clearance of external auditor’s reviews and audits.
- Maintain general ledger and SAP / PeopleSoft reporting, establishing new reports as needed.
- Establish and maintain methodologies and processes for expense allocations between business units, divisions and subsidiaries.
- Coordinate and monitor statutory audits and reporting for international subsidiaries, along with providing key support to all governmental legal and tax matters of the subsidiaries.
- Coordinate sales and use tax, ODC 720 tax, tariff processes and other audits (workers compensation/ abandoned property/ property taxes). Oversee records retention process.
- Prepare annual transfer pricing studies and support all income tax audits.
- Coordinate and administer Company risk insurance policies with the broker and carriers under direction of the CFO.
- Administer for the CFO banking systems (on- line & manual) authorization and control processes.
- Participate in IS&T system definitions, improvements and implementations.
- Participate in finance-only and company-wide special projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Ability to interact with different levels of personnel, including senior management.
- Strong analytical, communication and mentoring skills.
- Self-starter with high energy and commitment.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience.
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
- Proficiency with SAP, Excel and Word
