Nemours is seeking a Director, Enterprise Internal Communications to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Jacksonville or Orlando, FL or Wilmington, DE.

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Director of Enterprise Internal Communications to serve in a pivotal role in shaping the internal communications landscape on behalf of our senior leadership and a myriad of stakeholders across our health care system. This strategically minded candidate will be tasked with driving innovation and alignment across our organization, one of the nation's largest pediatric healthcare systems, to galvanize our associates in support of our mission, vision and culture dedicated to providing the highest quality pediatric care and patient family experience.

This role is designed to elevate employee engagement through leading an enterprise team and leveraging new technologies as well existing internal communication channels to ultimately build brand champions in conjunction with Communications and Marketing colleagues. Reporting to the Vice President, Reputation and Communications, this role will work closely with senior leaders as an advisor and partner in developing annual communications objectives, campaigns, messaging and metrics that align with strategic priorities and our drive culture of Systemness through the organization's annual goals and initiatives.

Essential Functions

1. Enterprise Internal Communications Strategy: Lead enterprise internal communications strategy to drive organizational culture, communicate organizational news, educate and inform associates to support their best work, and create campaigns to advance associate health, well-being and belonging.

2. Strategic Partnership and Advisory Role: Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and provide strategic direction on internal communications. For confidential executive communications, serve as the writer and implementation lead. As a member of the Marketing Leadership Team, support a department and organizational culture shift to achieve 80% planful.

3. Leadership and Team Development: Lead and develop a results-oriented high-performing team with a 'teach, coach, mentor' approach, fostering professional growth and psychological safety to drive success. Serve as an advocate on behalf of the team to support processes within the team and organization-wide to maximize resources and associate impact.

4. Innovative Communication Plans: Develop and implement integrated internal communications plans that include brand refresh initiatives and the latest communication technologies in partnership with organization-wide stakeholders. Oversee the internal communications editorial calendar with a keen focus on being planful and prioritizing strategic objectives while sunsetting low impact communications.

5. Internal Communications Channels: Consistently evaluate metrics across existing and identify new trends to maximize impact across internal channels. Oversee current channels including Nemours Now (First Up) email and weekly e-newsletters, intranet, town halls, digital signs, Leadership Links, Annual Progress Report, Wikipedia, manager messaging, among others.

6. Developing Brand Champions: Lead internal brand adoption activities in concert with the Brand team with the goal of developing brand ambassadors that extend into the community.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders at all levels and across locations to provide strategic counsel and implement a multitude of diverse projects and enhance organizational coherence. Hybrid work model.

8. Budget/Resource Management: Manage the enterprise internal communications cost center to include annul planning, quarterly forecasting and monthly reconciliation. Strategically invest in new practices and technologies to elevate internal communications function with the goal of excellence and efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.

Minimum ten years of corporate communications experience required; experience in healthcare is preferred.

Minimum three years experience managing a team is required; 5+ is preferred.
