The Role

As a Director on the Capital Markets team, you will be responsible for standing up a best in class Investor Relations/Development program for the company’s Capital Markets programs and for development of funding solutions across all programs, with a notable focus on new products. Reporting to the Head of Capital Markets, the role serves as a vital lynchpin in bringing funding from institutional investors into the hands of our customers. Working directly with the lines of business, you will gain and communicate a thorough understanding of our loan performance to various types of counterparty, including institutional investors, warehouse banks, and credit rating agencies with the ultimate goal of delivering the most cost efficient and liquid transaction structures to the organization.

The successful candidate will bring a combination of skill sets to the table, including the ability to source, digest and synthesize key portfolio performance data, deep subject matter expertise in structured finance, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an organized approach to building out a new function.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be challenged to develop a new capital markets vertical supporting the creation and execution of our capital markets strategy and investor development. You will:


  • Develop and maintain an overall investor relations strategy that prioritizes clear and effective communications with institutional investors and growth of our investor universe.
  • Manage ongoing investor activities, including industry conferences, investor one-on-ones, and roadshows. Build lasting relationships with existing and prospective institutional investors.
  • Be a close internal partner to the FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Corporate Investor Relations, Legal and Line of Business teams.
  • Build out Rating Agency engagement strategy and engage in programmatic and consistent performance updates.
  • Network across all warehouse banks to ensure optimal usage of bank credit and warehouse structures.
  • Work closely with all lines of business to synthesize loan performance data for both existing and new products, and work with both internal and external counterparties to create or adapt structures to deliver optimal funding solutions.


What You'll Need


  • Interest in the FinTech industry and/or Banking, Finance, and Accounting
  • Bachelor’s or Master's/MBA degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 15 years experience operating in a capital markets or structured financing role
  • Understanding of financial industry, regulatory landscape and debt capital market/ structured finance market
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Seasoned leadership experience with ability to be a role model and team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with G-suite and/or Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Google Sheets) and working with large data sets
  • Mission driven, intellectually curious, goal oriented

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
