About KarmaCheck: KarmaCheck is a technology startup based out of San Francisco and founded by one of the pioneers of the internet industry, Eric Ly, who was a Co-founder and CTO at LinkedIn. We’re on a mission to bring truth to the internet by enabling digital identity verification in a new way. We’re starting by disrupting the antiquated Background Check industry, specifically focused on healthcare credentialing. We’ve built proprietary technology which uses automation, machine learning, and data to create efficient turnaround times and cost effective solutions across all kinds of background checks, which will ultimately power the digital identity use cases of tomorrow. About the opportunity: As the Director of Learning and Growth, you will take on the exciting challenge of redefining how we deliver an exceptional learning and growth environment for our team. You'll focus on developing new initiatives, creating process improvements, de-risking new product lines, and managing your amazing team. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of the team, while also driving product and process innovation. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, excellent leadership abilities, a desire for continuous improvement, and a wide variety of learning methodologies.   • Craft strategic learning initiatives that support company objectives and apply innovative learning theories and methodologies. Foster strategic learning practices across the organization and utilize analytics to measure the effectiveness of these strategies
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and Success to deliver on new product lines, features, and services. Ensure the successful rollout of the relevant process design, training plan(s), and associated content for our internal and external users. Structure the appropriate monitoring to surface feedback
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by directly addressing the challenges our internal team members face from a technical, process, people, and platform perspective. Act as a player-coach to resolve them in the near and long-term
  • Inspire and empower a team of 5+ constructive and motivated individuals who have created the building blocks for this critical area of the organization


Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years experience which might include learning development, education, EdTech, process improvement, technical support, or software product development
  • 3-5+ years in leadership and people management roles
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into effective learning strategies
  • Desire to work within a startup environment, and ability to adapt and pivot based on new company-level priorities
  • Demonstrated expertise and comfort working within a technical platform
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in education, organizational development, business, or related field


Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Expertise in business process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant frameworks
  • A technical background in computer science, data analytics, or quantitative related field

  • The expected base compensation for this role is between $160,000 -$185,000 for work performed in the United States. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include seniority level, experience level, transferable skills, education, location, business needs, training, and market demands. This range may be modified in the future.future
