Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership Contributes to organization-wide strategic and operational decisions as a member of the senior leadership team and serve an active resource and leader for direct reports and all staff. Ensure strategic alignment across the organization through ongoing, effective communication and partnership with other leaders and teams.
Community Grantmaking (CGM) Oversee a community support fund for the greater Los Angeles non-profit ecosystem. This includes team oversight and stewarding relationships with a wide range of community stakeholders, track and analyze community needs and opportunities as well as philanthropic practices to consider for strategies and collaboration.
Impact Measurement Oversee the development and integration of an impact measurement framework to the organization’s programs and apply the learnings to guide the work and deepen impact.
External Partnerships and Relationship Building Partner with other funders, public sector leaders, nonprofit leaders, community representatives and elected officials to cultivate alignment, shared commitment, and enhanced outcomes on programmatic priorities.
Program Related Investments Advise and help manage PRIs in support of the Foundation’s mission and philanthropic goals.
Strategic Leadership and Team Management
Progressively responsible team management and leadership experience
Proven ability to lead and retain high performing teams; facilitate continuous improvement, first-class customer service, and innovation
Demonstrated experience in developing, leading, and implementing a strategy
Awareness and understanding of emerging issues with philanthropy and social movements
Tested management skills and track record of success in a dynamic, mission-driven environment with a history of leading-edge activity
Philanthropic and Impact Measurement Expertise
Over 10 years of grantmaking or relevant experience with nonprofit organizations
Over 5 years of experience in impact measurement or program evaluation
Working knowledge and management of Program Related Investments
Experience and knowledge in the Tech sector, particularly AI and the impact on the philanthropic sector
Relationship Building and Community Engagement
Drive collaborative approaches, aspiring to create enhanced value in all organization programs and initiatives
Deep knowledge and strong network in the greater Los Angeles and California nonprofit and philanthropic sector
Experience and ability to work with diverse communities, especially the ability to develop and sustain trusted relationships
Ability to serve as an external representative of the organization in public settings and speaking engagements.
Qualifications
Minimum 7-10 years of progressively responsible team management and leadership experience
5+ experience in impact measurement or program evaluation
Experience and ability to work with diverse communities, especially the ability to develop and sustain trusted relationships
Demonstrated experience in developing, leading, and implementing a strategy
Awareness and understanding of emerging issues with philanthropy and social movements
Proven ability to lead and retain high performing teams; facilitate continuous improvement, first-class customer service, and innovation
A visible, accessible, and compassionate leader with tested management skills and track record of success in a dynamic, mission-driven environment with a history of leading-edge activity

Bachelor's degree (Master’s Degree preferred)
