REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years of accounting experience within the Big 4 and technology/software/SaaS industry required
• 4+ years of experience managing a team
• CPA Required

The Director of Accounting will oversee the accounting department, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to company policies. This role involves leading a team of accounting professionals, developing financial strategies, and providing insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and finance professionals. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets and forecasts. Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to management.
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax laws. Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Oversee the implementation of accounting software and tools.
• Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives. Prepare special reports and ad hoc analyses for senior management.
