Director of Analytics

Our client, a fast-growing global leader in the insurance industry, recently secured a $1 billion investment from a leading global investment firm, further boosting its position and fueling expansion. They are now seeking a National Practice Leader – Data Analytics – Health Population Consulting to lead this next phase of growth.

This leader will manage a team of six focused on health population consulting, data analytics, and creating deliverables. The company, specializing in insurance, employee benefits, and human capital management, offers personalized services through local agents. The ideal candidate will excel in data-driven decision-making and team leadership.

In this role, you’ll work with senior leadership on major projects, improve tools and dashboards, and take a consultative approach with clients. You'll also help transition clients from fully insured to self-insured models, using data insights to drive impactful results.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and develop a team of six professionals with varying experience levels, focusing on deliverable creation, data analytics, and health population consulting. Improve existing tools, dashboards, and provide training, while collaborating on large-scale projects with the Chief Growth Officer.
• Enhance client-facing tools such as financial analysis, claims utilization, and plan modeling, with an emphasis on transitioning clients from fully insured to self-insured models. Candidates with brokerage firm experience and demonstrated creativity in content creation and data storytelling are preferred.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 10+ years of experience in health and welfare consulting from a brokerage or carrier background.
• 5+ yrs in data analytics, health population management, and client consulting.
• Proven ability to build, develop, and motivate teams, with experience providing training and fostering professional growth.
• Skilled in PowerPoint, PowerBI, Monte Carlo simulations, and other data visualization tools to create impactful presentations.
• Experience with both fully insured and self-funded benefit programs is a plus.

Salary Range: $190,000 - $230,000 based on experience with great benefits.
