With a team of over 2000 experienced scientists, hundreds of western-trained pharmaceutical industry leaders, and experienced Pharmaceutical Executive Leadership at the helm, ChemPartner is dedicated to technically and strategically accomplish the research initiatives of Pharma and Biotech companies from around the world.

ChemPartner has taken the next step towards becoming a global CRO by establishing a Chemistry laboratory within a biotech incubator in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are looking for experienced and talented business development professionals to contribute to the success of our China-based operations and new global ventures.


The BD Director is responsible for business development activities for ChemPartner, including sales for Chemistry, Biology, Biologics, DMPK and CMC. The BD Director will work with other BD team members, technical teams and senior management to execute sales strategies, generate new business opportunities and achieve goals. In addition to managing and growing business from existing clients, the BD Director is primarily responsible for establishing new accounts.


The position is based remotely within Europe. The specific assignment, in terms of service line and geographic scope, will be based on the knowledge, experience and network of the individual coupled with the needs of the Company. Travel to clients, industry conferences and headquarters in Shanghai is expected.



Responsibilities:

Develop and execute plans to expand existing business and generate new opportunities for Chemistry, Biology, Biologics, DMPK and CMC

Achieve sales revenue targets for new and existing accounts

Develop and execute strategies to gain new accounts

Prospect and generate new leads and opportunities

Protect, manage and grow existing client relationships

Utilize CRM to actively manage an opportunity pipeline, and provide critical information needed for forecasting

Represent ChemPartner at industry meetings and conferences

Provide regular status and activity updates to senior management, technical leaders and Global BD Team members

Track landscape and collect competitive intelligence


Requirements:


Bachelor of Science degree

Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in CRO Business Development

Experience selling one or more of ChemPartner’s services areas: Chemistry, Biologics, Biology, DMPK and CMC

Proven ability to meet or exceed annual sales goals

Self motivated, highly flexible and collaborative

Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

Strong independent contributor and team player

Ability to travel internationally

Willingness to communicate in the evenings to accommodate global time zones when necessary

Salesforce.com experience is a plus
