Director of Business Development

As they continue to scale, they are seeking a dynamic Director of U.S. Government Business Development to shape and lead their government business strategy, including identifying new opportunities, managing relationships, and securing large-scale contracts within Federal, Civil, and Environmental agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the growth of the U.S. government business, including strategy development, proposal delivery, and customer relationship management.
- Drive strategic engagement, ensuring the retention and expansion of business with government accounts.
- Proactively generate pipeline and revenue through networking, prospecting, and closing sales.
- Collaborate with internal teams to inform and develop the company's Federal government strategy.
- Manage the government contracting process and explore new partnership opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record prospecting and closing business within the Federal Government.
- Experience within the Space sector.
- Strong network within federal agencies.
- Expertise in navigating complex proposal and contracting processes within government agencies.
- Strong collaborator with internal stakeholders, driving business retention and expansion.
- Ability to develop and execute detailed sales plans, forecast accurately, and manage opportunities.
