Talent Bio is conducting a search for one of our global Pharmaceutical Services clients for a Director Business Development, Drug Development supporting their regulatory, biometrics, clinical pharmacology and model informed drug development services groups. The largest and most comprehensive provider of strategic drug development, modeling and simulation and regulatory science services, they partner with their clients for optimizing drug development decisions.


This opening is with an exciting and transformational organization, seeking a highly motivated and energetic Business Development Professional with a proven and demonstrated “Hunter” track record for identifying and developing strategic business in new accounts and “Farmer” track record for expanding the portfolio of business with current clients. Director Business Development will be partnering with the Tier 2 and 3 Account Leader and with world-class expert drug development consultants in client engagements and be supported during the Business Development process by required expert teams.


This is a west coast-based position, while it is remote you must be located in California to be considered for the role.


  • Candidates should have at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in a science related curriculum with a demonstrated career path in Business Development to support the sought drug development experience and understanding required for this position.
  • A seasoned and well-rounded biopharmaceutical expert is required with minimum combined business development experience of 8+ years, in successfully representing drug development related consulting services from preclinical through Phase 4 in the Biopharma space.
  • Thorough understanding about the role of Clinical Pharmacology and Model Informed Drug Development (PK/PD, QSP, PBPK and MBMA) in the drug development process, with the ability to converse with C-suite leadership in Biopharma companies about these topics and an integrated drug development strategy is essential.
  • Possesses broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical space and current macro trends within the industry. Able to lead strategic business planning process based on a thorough understanding of industry trends and opportunities and effectively solve strategic challenges.
