Job Details
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Director of Construction to join our team. This is an unparalleled opportunity for a leader with a proven track record in luxury residential construction and renovation. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on a variety of high-end, ground-up projects, including luxury townhomes. As the owner's representative, you will be the driving force behind our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to our exacting standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing high-end, ground-up construction projects from initial conception through to completion.
- Serve as the owner's representative, liaising between our company and all other parties involved in the construction process, including contractors, architects, engineers, and local governing bodies.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Review and approve contractor bids, invoices, and change orders, ensuring all costs are properly documented and justified.
- Regularly report project status to company stakeholders, providing updates on schedule, budget, and any issues or risks that may impact project completion.
- Implement and maintain construction best practices, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process, ensuring all parties are satisfied with the final outcome.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the construction industry, with a strong focus on luxury residential construction and renovation.
- Proven track record managing high-end, ground-up construction projects, including luxury townhomes.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to shifting priorities.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between various parties and resolve conflicts.
- Proficient in construction management software and other relevant technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Must hold relevant certifications and licenses as required by local governing bodies.
