Job Description:


Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Contracts to join our dynamic team. This strategic leader will oversee the development of energy service terms that meet customer key performance indicators (KPIs) while managing the entire procurement process. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of contract development and procurement management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Development: Lead the creation of energy service agreements that align with customer KPIs, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Procurement Oversight: Manage all aspects of procurement, including:
  • Pre-Purchase Activities: Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms and conditions.
  • Purchase Activities: Oversee order placement and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
  • Post-Purchase Activities: Manage inventory, conduct audits, and ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective procurement.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and opportunities to enhance the procurement process.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and contract management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure procurement aligns with overall business goals and customer needs.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor performance metrics for procurement activities, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract development and procurement management, preferably within the energy, EV charging, or utility sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing energy service terms and managing procurement processes effectively.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
