Global Partners is currently seeking a Director of Credit. This is a leadership role responsible for managing and overseeing credit-related functions across Global’s business lines. This role requires a strategic leader with excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of credit risk management, and the ability to develop and implement effective credit policies and procedures. The Director of Credit role reports to the Treasurer. This position is based in Waltham, MA.

The Types of “Energy” You Bring

  • You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in credit risk management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • You have a strong understanding of credit principles, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
  • You have excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • You have successfully lead and developed a high-performing team.
  • You have outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.

“Gauges” of Responsibility –

  • Manages the organization's tolerance for credit risk and implements policies governing the extension of credit.
  • Oversees the work of a team that evaluates the creditworthiness of customers, potential customers, vendors, etc.
  • Analyzes internal and external competition, industry developments, and economic trends to understand impact on customers.
  • Reviews and finalizes credit decisions.
  • Leads teams' efforts to collect past due balances from delinquent customers and oversees negotiations and authorizes settlements.
  • Builds relationships with credit contacts and advocates for higher credit limits with counterparties.
  • Communicates trends to senior leadership and uses this information to inform future credit decisions.

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance or a related field.
